The Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics aims to impart Oral health care by providing correction of small defects of teeth which do not require full coverage restorations, esthetic treatment and salvaging deep defects of teeth by endodontic therapy. The department provides a range of treatment from direct and indirect tooth restorations, in office bleaching techniques, regular pulp space therapy, root end surgeries, smile design, full mouth rehabilitations and state of the art infrastructure using Er.YAG lasers, Diode Lasers and Dental Operating Microscope.
The undergraduate training enables the student to undergo training in glass ionomer cement restoration, composite restoration, permanent filling followed by root canal treatment and root canal treatment in anterior teeth.
A responsible patient care protocol is practiced throughout. Stringent infection control protocols, disposable materials, isolation rooms for aerosol generating procedures, daily fumigation of the department to ensure high level of sterilization and disinfection.
